Scott Steele founded Primal Global Consulting after two decades inside some of the more demanding operating environments in finance, reinsurance, and investment management. Not as a consultant looking in, but as the person responsible for infrastructure, governance, and continuity when things went wrong.
That background defines the approach: clarity over noise, structure over improvisation, and practical decisions grounded in how businesses actually operate under pressure. The goal is experienced oversight without the overhead. Real accountability, not a rotating advisory team.

Nortel Networks
Started in enterprise telecommunications infrastructure during one of the most volatile periods in tech history. Learned early that complexity without documentation is a liability.
2002–2007
Husky Energy
Supported 5,000+ users across corporate offices and remote field sites in the energy sector. Delivered end-to-end infrastructure covering endpoints, servers, applications, and distributed networks. Led large-scale rollouts across geographically separated operational environments.

Led infrastructure, security, and operational continuity for a regulated global investment firm spanning multiple countries and time zones. Managed a multimillion-dollar annual budget, deployed global VDI reducing endpoint hardware costs by ~75%, and built governance frameworks aligned with ISO 27001, HIPAA, and financial regulatory requirements. Designed and validated disaster recovery systems that held during real-world incidents.

Every environment has failure points. The job is to find them before they find you: a structured read of systems, dependencies, vendors, and recovery paths.
