Scott Steele founded Primal Global Consulting after two decades inside some of the more demanding operating environments in finance, reinsurance, and investment management. Not as a consultant looking in, but as the person responsible for infrastructure, governance, and continuity when things went wrong.
That background defines the current practice: businesses without an IT department are now making AI decisions, and nobody is accountable for whether those decisions are safe. PGC exists to be accountable for exactly that, with the same judgment that kept regulated infrastructure running for twenty years.

Started in enterprise telecommunications infrastructure during one of the most volatile periods in tech history. Learned early that complexity without documentation is a liability.

How I Work
Ask what can break
Every environment has failure points. The job is to find them before they find you: a structured read of systems, dependencies, vendors, and recovery paths.
Documentation as deliverable
Nothing leaves an engagement undocumented. Runbooks, architecture diagrams, vendor contacts, recovery procedures: the client gets everything in plain language, built to be used by someone who wasn't in the room.
Absolute sovereignty
Clients own their systems, their credentials, and their data. The goal of every engagement is to increase your control, not to create a new dependency on an external advisor.
Advisory before implementation
Most technology problems are decision problems. The right move is usually to slow down, read the environment clearly, and make a deliberate choice. Not to buy something or build something faster.
